21 fully detached affordable homes constructed within a secure gated community for retirees and downsizers. Homes ranged from 2 bed, 2 bath single garage to 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom double garage.
The development comprised of affordable detached homes / units ranging from 140sqm – 200sqm all with neutral matching colour scheme.
Lighter brick and roof colours chosen with low solar absorbance properties in mind to suit the Tamworth climate.
Factors considered and implemented for construction:
- Modern comforts ie ducted aircon and keyless entry, led lighting
- Solar lighting throughout the complex
- Aqua saver water diversion valve for water tank for simplicity
- Low maintenance yard and artificial turf
- Ergonomic kitchen design for retirees
- Automatic front security gate entry
- Concrete driveway for durability and longevity
- The homes were located within a secure gated community with minimal yard / garden for low maintenance in mind.
Subdivision carefully planned and designed for community title which gave buyers / purchasers ownership of their allotment / unit. This was popular as an alternative to retirement village schemes as it provides share of ownership of common areas that they may not be able to afford / upkeep if they lived outside the community.
The end result was exactly what was envisage. A secure modern / luxurious front gate entry. The complex / varying terrain of the site gave rise to a variety of house plans and individuality / distinction to each lot.
